Electronic visit verification that proves the visit happened without slowing the caregiver down.
Federal rules require agencies to capture six things about every Medicaid personal care and home health visit. TruEVV captures them in the moment, at the door, and turns them into a record that survives an audit and a claim that does not come back.
Built for home care and personal care agencies of any size, and designed to work with the scheduling and billing systems you already run.
Six data points, captured at the door
The 21st Century Cures Act requires electronic verification of Medicaid personal care and home health visits. Six elements have to be recorded electronically for every single one.
Agencies rarely fail because they do not know the rule. They fail because capturing it by hand, on paper, after the fact, does not survive an audit.
Who provided the service
The caregiver identified at the visit, not reconstructed from a schedule afterwards.
Who received it
The individual receiving care, linked to their authorisation and service plan.
Type of service
What was actually delivered, recorded against the codes you bill under.
Date, start, and end
Times captured when they happen. No rounding to the nearest convenient number.
Where it happened
Location verified at check-in and check-out, with community visits handled properly rather than treated as errors.
Ready to bill
Verified visits assembled into claims-ready records, so what you billed and what you can prove are the same thing.
Compliance the caregiver does not have to think about
Works without signal
Basements, rural routes, dead zones. Visits are captured offline and sync when the phone finds a connection, so a caregiver is never stuck at a door.
Exceptions, not rejections
Real visits go sideways. Late starts, missed check-outs, a client seen in the community. TruEVV flags these for a supervisor to resolve instead of silently producing a claim that will be denied.
Fits the systems you have
TruEVV is a standalone product. It runs alongside whatever scheduling, payroll, and billing software you already use, and exports verified visits in the formats those systems expect — so adopting it does not mean replacing everything else.
On state requirements
EVV is federal in requirement but state-specific in execution. Each state chooses its own model and aggregator, and the data formats differ. We are building TruEVV to submit to state systems, starting with Minnesota, and will confirm supported states and aggregator certification before launch.
TruEVV is designed to support your compliance obligations. It does not replace your responsibility to meet the requirements set by your state Medicaid agency and payers.
Roadmap
- Complete
Requirements mapping
The six federal elements mapped against Minnesota’s model and the aggregator formats agencies actually have to submit.
- In progress
Caregiver app and visit capture
Offline-first mobile check-in and check-out, location and time capture, and the supervisor queue for exceptions.
- Next
Aggregator submission and pilot
Submission to state systems, tested with a small group of agencies running live visits alongside their current process.
- Then
General release
Full availability with onboarding, caregiver training, and migration from whatever you use today.
